School uniforms are usually not something high school students look forward to. However, they definitely have one major plus. Though I am a senior and will not get to experience them, I am jealous of the 15-20 minutes of extra sleep I could have had with uniforms. Typically, I try to pick out what I’m going to wear the night before, however, that rarely happens. So, I usually end up rushing because I overslept and have nothing to wear. With uniforms, how easy would it be in the mornings? No need to worry the night before and you can get an extra few minutes before finally having to get out of bed. Sure, you have to decide what color polo, but that’s easy.

They just can not seem to accept the fact that we won and they lost. Reading the comments online at the Hattiesburg American’s Web site still make me cringe. Though, some can be quite humorous with all the nonsense. Can they really not get over it? However, the real point I want to make is about their appearance at the Brandon game. If they really just wanted to enjoy a good football game, was it seriously necessary to sit in the student section? They definitely were not trying to blend in either. Their really cute letterman jackets were obviously just as red as can be. They just think they are so much better than us.

On average, students at Oak Grove sit in class from 8:15 to 3:40 except 20 minutes for lunch. Obviously, the long day can be very tiring and some people just need a break. For example, the Army Rock Band’s visit was a perfect example of an enjoyable treat for students. For those that missed the concert, you sure missed out. I remember walking in school to the sounds of the band warming up. Somebody told me it was just for band students. However, when Mr. Folkes told our class we could go, I was thrilled. It was a special time out of the classroom where everybody seemed to have enjoyed themselves. We definitely need more days like that around here.

Taylor Swift released her first album in 2006 when she was 17. That was three years ago, Taylor. You are not “Fifteen” anymore so stop writing naive love songs about being in high school. In my opinion, Taylor Swift just can’t seem to grow up. I had the unfortunate opportunity to meet her in 2008 after a free concert my friends dragged me to. I hoped after meeting her, my feelings towards her would change. They remained the same. She acted just as fake as can be. Maybe I am being harsh, but if Taylor wants a serious career in music, she needs to grow up and move on from high school boyfriend drama.
